To all my friends and valued customers,

Wow what a wonderful experience it has been to have The ScrapbookScene. When I started this business I never imagined the love and support that could come from just a shop that sells paper. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime.

I thank all my customers for their support and sisterhood. Those who know me well know what I have been thru during the last 4years and I thankyou for your words, your love and your laughter. With sadness I now close the doors forever, but I am proud that I created not only a great shop , but a soft place for people to fall. I am so grateful that The ScrapbookScene became a place where people could feel that they could just pop in for a cuppa and abit of time out. I do feel sad that I have taken that away for some people. But as most of you know it is time for my kids to have their Mum back. I only have I chance at being a mother and I need more time with them.

So the doors will close forever this Saturday, February 27th at 4pm, please pop in and say goodbye and have a drink to celebrate the end of The ScrapbookScene.

Sharon’s last vintage class

My last vintage class at The Scrapbook Scene will be held on Saturday February 13th and repeated again on Saturday February 27th. The class will run from 10.00am -1.00pm and in that time you’ll create 3 layouts to add to your collection. This month we’re using gorgeous vintage papers from Graphic 45, chipboard from Scrapware, vintage lace, buttons, flowers and ribbon. We’ll distress, rip, scrunch, ink and cut. The layouts are suitable for any size or orientation photo and will fit a number of themes for your heritage album. I’ve used a photo of my great grandparents, a photo of my great grandfather and one of my Mum with her parents, just to give you an idea of what you can choose. Bring your stash of photos and decide what to use on the day.

The cost of this class is $55 and includes all materials for the 3 layouts with scraps left over to complete a 4th. If we have time, I might add the 4th layout to our class as a bonus. Please bring your paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, edge distresser,sepia ink, and adhesives. Phone the shop to book in.

There are still some vacancies in Sharon’s Vintage Clas this Saturday, Januray 30th. The class runs from 10.00am-1.00pm. This month you’ll create 3 gorgeous layouts using Basic Grey’s ‘Nook and Pantry’ range of papers, teamed with fabulous vintage embellishments from Making Memories. The cost fr this class is $55 and includes all materials to complete the 3 layouts as well as enough leftovers for more. Phone the shop if you’d like to reserve a space.
