This is going to be BIG! Our first ever Christmas Spectacular is on Saturday November 22nd from 9.30am. Over the course of a full day worskhop we’ll create FIVE fabulous Christmas projects to decorate your home this Christmas. You could even use them as gifts for special people in your life.
We’ll have some special give-aways and pre-Christmas frivolity on the day and places are limited so don’t miss out!

The Scrapbook Scene will be closed on Monday November 3rd to allow Janet to enjoy a well earned long weekend thanks to the Melbourne Cup Holiday on Tuesday.Â
We’re open as normal on saturday 9.30-4.00 so come in and pick up some fabulous new products and spend the weekend scrapping up a storm.
We survived Paperific! Thank you to all those people who visited our stand, we hope you found some inspiration and plan on visiting us at the shop soon. Poor Janet has the unenviable task of unpacking all the boxes and rearranging the shop to include new Christmas ranges from Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants, Making Memories, Bo Bunny and Basic Grey as well as new papers and embellishments from Sassafras Lass, Fancy Pants, Kaiser and Heidi Swapp and there are more new products on the way.  There are gorgeous new off the page projects as well so make sure you come in soon.
The November and December classes have been planned and will be up on the blog in the next week once we finalise a few things. There are some fabulous projects to keep you busy and prepare for a very festive Christmas season.
One date to make sure you put in your diary is Saturday November 22nd and all I can say at the moment is ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’. More details soon so watch this space.
 With Paperific this weekend, The Scrapbook Scene will be closed on Thursday October 16th and Friday October 17th. We’ll be open on Saturday as usual for an all day crop.

October is our traditional month for Melbourne Paperific - we’ve been going eight years now! This will be our first expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds, which is in excellent shape since their renovations.
As always there will be free demos and artist trading card swaps. No classes, this year, but there wil be eleven stands running free Make and Takes!
The Showgrounds provides all day parking for Paperific guests at the low cost of $5. It is a quick drive via CityLink - just exit at Racecourse Road which turns into Epsom Road.
Enter the Showgrounds via the main gate in Epsom Road: Gate 1.
Coming by public transport? The expo is a 5 minute tram ride (Tram 57) from Newmarket train station OR catch that tram direct from the city. Hop off at stop 33. Tram route info here. Map showing how to “tram it” or walk from Newmarket Station here.

Our fabulously talented Design Team member Felicity Malyszko has created these divine Christmas cards using the Making Memories ‘Fa la la’ range of papers and you will definitely want to book into her class. She’ll show you how to use the Cuttlebug to emboss your cardstock to make cards, a giftbox and gift tags. This class is running during the week as well as on the weekend so check the Class Calendar links to see which day suits you.
After seeing this little machine in person, I really really want one!
